Ice Hockey in Whitley Bay has a proud history stretching back 50 years and during that time the Warriors - and their predecessors the Whitley Bees - have won many national trophies, including being crowned British champions twice in the early 70's and latterly they were English National League champions in three consecutive seasons from 2000 to 2002.
Throughout all of the last 50 years, Whitley Bay Ice Hockey Club has been committed to the development of young talent and has a tremendous record of producing international players at all levels of the sport, including current Great Britain international David Longstaff who began his ice hockey career at Hillheads and is now regarded as one of the greatest players this country has ever produced.
Although not currently playing at the top level of the sport, the Warriors are still capable of drawing large crowds and those numbers are often the envy of clubs playing at a higher level, while their name is well known among ice hockey fans in all parts of the UK.
However, as with any sport, the need is there to constantly improve and keep pace with those around you; and as such Whitley Warriors need sponsorship to allow them to develop young talent and to be able to attract the top senior players available.

A number of prominent positions around the rink perimeter boards are available to advertise your company. The advantage of taking out this sponsorship opportunity with the Warriors is that the boards are in position 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year and are seen by all visitors to Whitley Bay Ice Rink, not just seen by hockey fans
The cost to sponsor the rink boards is negotiable.

An opportunity for your company or organisation to become involved in the match night atmosphere and is a great solution to the 'works night out' dilemma. Make full use of our Sponsors Lounge pre-game, during the intervals and after the match (with appearances by the players), while having a dedicated seat in the arena close to the action when the game is in progress.
You have access to a full page advertisement in the match night programme and can bring up to 15 guests to the game with entry to the building by private entrance. Although match night programmes are supplied by the Warriors, buffet, light drinks (tea, coffee, etc.) and alcoholic beverages may also be arranged at a small extra cost.

For the 2007/08 season the Whitley Warriors will be producing a match night programme and offer a number of advertising packages.
Back Page (Outside) - A full page advertisement on perhaps the most prominent page in the publication. Not only the fans buying the programme, but almost everyone in the potential 1000+ attendance would see your advert as well.
Full Page - A chance to get your message across on a full page of the programme. This size is particularly useful for sponsors wishing to use a photograph to help sell their product.
Half Page - A very effective means of advertising and although the size is smaller, would still lend itself to a photograph.
Business Card - It is our intention to dedicate at least one page of the programme to a Business Card Section where we will have 10 business card advertisements per page.
