Captain Dunn - Sample and Wilson to return

WHITLEY Warriors coach Simon Leach has confirmed that Bryan Dunn will take over as club captain, with Adam Hendry – skipper for the past two seasons – stepping up to a player-coaching role.

“It is a great opportunity for both of them,” said Leach, “Bryan is very passionate about the team and this is an opportunity for him to show he has true leadership qualities.

“Adam has done a great job over the last couple of years. This is a chance for him to take the next step in his career.”

And Leach also confirmed Rob Wilson and Ryan Sample are returning to Hillheads.

“Having Rob on our back line gives us another great defensive option.

“He is a strong and formed a great partnership with Adam Hendry last season.”

On Sample, Leach said: “Ryan should be available to us every game next season.

“He is the type of player who can get you a goal out of nothing.”
