How it all started...
Formed in the winter of '04, Boolay came together when an existing band Headcase,
containing Mikee and Doddsy
split up. Ledgey, a close friend, started jamming
with the band for shits and giggles and it soon became clear that the band had something
good going on. For 4 months, whenever they could afford it, the band practiced at Northern Recording
Studios.
Disaster... Just when the everything was starting to come together Northern
Recording Studios were forced to close and, not wanting to lose a good thing (as well as a lot of hard work),
the band moved everything to Ledgey's living room before finally finding a new home down at
'WhiteWolf Recording'. The band continued to develop their sound but still lacked a major cog to
complete the Boolay legacy - a vocalist.

A new member... The band recorded
a quick demo to showcase their music to local vocalists with the
hopes of recruiting a front man for the band. (To hear the demo
tracks visit the Sounds Page.)
Thankfully this worked out as Boolay intended and the band is
now a 4-piece with Vella completing
the lineup as vocalist as well as bringing Piano to the band.
